Our Founder Late B.M.Hasan Hajee was a Trustee of Old Mangalore Port Trust for a number of years till the port was taken over under State Ports Department. He has been a member of the State Ports Advisory Committee for a number of years. From the date of Inception of New Mangalore Port Trust, he was appointed as a Trustee of New Mangalore Port for several years. Late B.M. Hasan Hajee was the sitting member of the High Level Advisory Committee for the Hinterland Development of New Mangalore Port formed under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary of Government of Karnataka. | | Established in 1940 as Mohiudeen Hajee & Sons, We are the first to handle the shipment of bulk iron ore at the Old Mangalore Port in 1957 by S.S MARSHAL GOWROW at Open roadstead for M/s. Deepchand Kishanlall, Bangalore. We are also the only firm to handle bulk Oil shipments from Old Mangalore Port at Open roadstead in loose form by pumping cashew shell oil in APL ships in the fifty's and sixty's for M/s. United Shipping Co., Mangalore. Our ancestor Late B. Mohiudeen Hajee was the contractor for M/s. Shephered & Co., Bombay Steam Navigation Co., for handling the imports of bagged rice etc in the thirtys and fortys for M/s. Kathewar &Co., Bombay.Late B.
